The definition of the word “change” is to become altered or modified, transformed or converted, a transformation or modification, alteration, a variation or deviation from the original.Change is good! We all need to change something about ourselves, like our waistline our debt load, or our bad habits. 

Humility is probably one of the most misunderstood topics, except for maybe submission and some think they are similar.But we ain’t gonna talk bout dat one!! You’re welcome. So what is it exactly and how has it been misrepresented…

I read….a lot.  When my kids were all little it was nearly impossible to sit down with a good book. Actually it was nearly impossible to sit down! There was always something that needed to be done. But when they were older the first thing I made a priority to do was to develop a “habit” of reading everyday.

From that dreadful day in the Garden when mankind fell from the place God had made for them, people have struggled with an inner nagging that makes them feel unworthy. Like an itch that can’t be scratched we clay creatures are always looking for some sort of feeling, thing, status or person that will tell us we are enough.

Everyone has something; people, situations, the flesh and the ever-popular temptation that needs a response from us. I mean we have to answer one way or the other…eventually. Do you seem to have the nagging problem of not being able to say “no”?

Goal…an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions, a plan for actively doing something. No one consciously plans to fail. We don’t get married planning to get a divorce, we don’t go to College to flunkout, and we don’t go on a diet to only gain more weight.

Did you ever just have a day…you know those days. When you just wanna be a real person, say it like it is, punch someone because they are stupid or not pretend to be perfect? All people in Ministry have those days. Why? Well because, wait for it, we are real people!!!!! There I said it!

The meaning of Hope is: To trust in, wait for, look for, or desire something or someone; or to expect something beneficial in the future. As a verb, its definitions include: "expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation"

We all, and I mean all struggle with a level of insecurity. In some area at some level we don’t feel confident, or capable, or qualified, or smart enough, or gifted enough or you fill in the blank.  It’s a voice in our gut we’ve heard all of our lives, a feeling that we are just.not.enough.

You know that moment…that moment when the realization you’ve done something really stupid dawns on you. Then the familiar voices start screaming in your head confirming your really stupid decision and the fact you are a loser and always do the wrong thing…yea that moment.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older but time just seems to be flying by. I remember those long summer days as a little girl playing outside, climbing trees and riding my bike. Those days seemed to go on forever.  Now I’d pay good money for the days to slow the heck down!!!

Every little girl has dreamed of being a Princess, swept off her feet by her Prince charming; of growing up and marrying her high school sweetheart and having 2.5 children and a white picked fence around her dream home. We all love sappy stories with happy endings. But then you grow up and life smacks you in the face.

On November 26th, 2017, I had the opportunity to speak at the St. Peters campus of my church Twin Rivers. I always love the chance to speak to people about Jesus, but this day was extra special for me. This day was a day I got to experience God’s redemption.

Prayer…a topic that can send any decent Christian into a mild panic or worse yet a marginal guilt trip. Why is it we always feel like our prayer lives just don’t measure up to whatever standard we imagine others are achieving? You’re already feeling tense I can tell…So let’s chat about this seemingly scary topic and see if we can’t bring a little clarity!

Human beings are prone to think we don’t need anything to go wrong in our lives, no need for hard times and certainly no negative circumstances.  

Merry Christmas to everyone!! Nothing stirs me more than this season of love, giving and celebrating our Saviors birth. I’ve had a song on repeat the last few weeks that has just wrecked me!! The lyrics are so powerful and moving only the heart can comprehend their full significance.

Well that title probably sparked some interest…because at some point or another we’ve all experienced the overwhelming feeling of needing to get revenge.  Someone has hurt us, hurt someone we love or is just stupid and needs to be taught a lesson! The situations are real and the feelings are too.
