Did you ever wonder why people seem to annoy us in just about every way possible? I mean why can’t people just be normal and think like me? We’ve all thought that in every relationship we have. People just get on our nerves; well ok maybe just my nerves.

In this season of thankfulness, what if there is something we should be thankful for we haven’t considered? It’s important to take the time to remember to be thankful for the good things we receive, for our health, our families and our jobs. We should be grateful we have running water and roofs over our heads because so many around the world do not.

If you’ve lived in the vicinity of a human being, you’ve either been offended or had the opportunity to be.  Today we seem to be offended at everything or take up an offense for our friends!! Like we don’t have enough offensive situations of our own…for the love.

Gossip….we’ve all been a part of it or a victim of it.  Let’s chat today about what it is, how God sees it and how we can hopefully stop this in our lives.

We all dread that middle of the night phone call from the Police, that knock at the door from a Military Chaplain, the screeching of tires you hear from the front porch or the call from the Doctors office with your test results.  These invoke a sense of dread and anxiety unlike anything else we face.

Well, when you’re young that answer might be anything from a singer to a nurse to a spy. For 10-year-old me, I wanted to write books. I fell in love with writing when I learned I could take all the thoughts and worlds in my mind and paint them on their own kind of canvas. 

Patience ONLY grows under trial...Really?!?!? I just hate that concept. Patience is difficult to develop into our lives. We live in a micrrwave society, where we want everything in 30 seconds or less. 

I read a statement that rocked me....“Will we be satisfied with only a partial transformation or will we be so captivated by who He is that we will allow Him to KILL everything in us that would keep us from becoming a MATURE manifestation of Christ”. Dang….That's the million dollar question.

Have you ever had your mind bombarded with thoughts? Thoughts of what someone has done to you, worry about finances or a million other problems that you just couldn’t think of anything else? Well if so then welcome to the party because so has EVERYONE else!!!

Are you angry about something your anger cannot change?
That's a very interesting question! The definition of anger is “an inflammation of a wound, a strong passion or emotion of displeasure, excited by a sense of injury or insult.”

Rain is good floods are not. Wind actually strengthens tree bark but too much wind can destroy the tree. Trials are not all bad, they make us dig deep in God’s Word for answers, they teach us patience, allow us to practice the Fruits of the Spirit and see God’s grace and mercy at work.

Do you ever get frustrated with people? Well I do. These thoughts came flooding into my brain as I was thinking of situations that I'm seeing, situations where we as people are not treating others the way we would like to be treated. We all have situations in our own lives and ones we see around us that just make us shake our heads.

flex-i-ble  adj.  Capable of being flexed, pliable, readily bending or twisting without injury, able to change to cope with variable circumstances.

There will be many circumstances in our lives that require flexibility. Contrary to my personal preferences not everything in my life goes the way I would like it to or expect it to.  Dang it……

In the last few months as I have prayed for several people I have seen a picture in my Sprit of dry, parched ground.  While in the Bad Lands recently I saw the same parched ground.  For the people I had been praying for I knew it represented a place in their lives, a dry season they were walking through, which God desired to water and bring back to life. 

I have been contemplating this character flaw lately.  I was independent from birth being 13, 11 and 9 years younger than my siblings, another first born to the family and born to older parents.  Born to an alcoholic father and co-dependent mother, independence was inevitable. 

My husband and I learned a long time ago that understanding the Love Languages is a huge asset when dealing with people, especially the person you are married to!!

I think everyone at some point in his or her life has asked this question.  Wouldn’t it just be easier to know what lies ahead so we could make all the right decisions to avoid the detours and achieve our destiny?!?!

We’ve all heard the statement from people who don’t claim to be a Christian, “How could you do that, I thought you were a Christian?”  Well if you’ve been around Christianity at all you’ve seen first hand the reality that NO Christian is perfect or even in the same universe as perfect.

I’ve felt the pull to Blog for quite awhile….for a lot of different reasons I guess. But I have been thinking about passing along the knowledge I’ve accumulated over 40 years of being saved and all that God has shown me, revealed to me, corrected me about and taught me and continues to teach me...
