When Your Life Implodes

Life.is.hard. Lets just be honest. I’m not here to sweet talk anyone. I’m all about being painfully honest with myself and others. This season finds me frustrated, sometimes angry, having more questions than answers and just plain tired. Tired of believing, standing and contending for all of the promises God has spoken, anyone relate?

What Are You Carrying?

Has someone ever handed you something and immediately you knew you could not carry it? It was simply too heavy for you. Our muscles are designed to carry weight, but depending on how we develop those muscles through exercise will depend on how much weight they can support.

Making Room

With the New Year just starting, we usually decide to add new things into our lives; gym memberships, diets, new eating programs, new plan to read the Bible trough this year etc. But…to have the new thing or to put more into our lives we need to make room for it.  You can only put so much into a container and when it’s full nothing else will fit. It’s simple mathematics.

Grace Please

You know that moment…that moment when the realization you’ve done something really stupid dawns on you. Then the familiar voices start screaming in your head confirming your really stupid decision and the fact you are a loser and always do the wrong thing…yea that moment.

2019

Resolutions while a great idea…usually don’t see their fulfillment. But this year I am making some “decisions” and some “declarations”. I am determined to be better, stronger, more present and will fight to be and to do all that I am called to be and do. What is God asking of you this year?

Weariness vs. Tired

There is a difference between being tired and being weary. The feeling of being tired at the end of the day is satisfying. You sleep and wake up refreshed and ready to tackle another day. But weariness isn't physical.

Opportunity

We all can get excited about a new venture, an opportunity to start a new project, to move into a new house or to start a family. We can get excited to end a season or project at work, or see our kids go off to college and start their lives; but what about all of the time and work between the start and the finish?

Where Is My Promise?

Do you have promises from God that you feel haven’t been fulfilled yet? Do you feel like the season of fulfillment has passed you by? Are you disappointed that your dreams have not been realized? Are you tired of the feeling of circling the airport and never landing? #metoo

Being Thankful

While there is much speculation about this first Thanksgiving I believe it is an amazing tradition to celebrate. It seems to get lost in our busy lives between Halloween and Christmas; and we can forgetto stop and be thankful.

Keep Believing

This blessed me, encouraged me and lifted me…I hope that these words by Lysa Terkeurst do the same for you. Speak the Declarations over you life and know that God sees and hears you right where you are…2 Corinthians 4:8 states, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair.”

My Rights

WARNING…you may not like this Blog, it actually hurt my feelings!

You don’t have to look very far to find someone on this spinning globe crying about “their rights’…their right to free speech, aka saying whatever please despite the pain it may cause you, their right to hurt someone for hurting them, aka I’m better than you so I can take my own revenge if I want, the right to practice any liberty I choose no matter how if affects anyone else around me, aka I can be selfish because can do as I please. I, I, I, me, me, me…

Seeing vs. Knowing

Seeing is not only a function of sight, not only one of our five senses but it’s also a function of knowing. We see things all day long. We see other cars as we are driving, other houses as we are walking our dogs in our neighborhoods, and we see other people doing different things all throughout our day.

Self Or Sacrifice

There is a mist rolling over this nation. Like a fog it’s rising to blind and hinder our ability to go forward. It’s creeping into our homes, our families and our churches. A subtle message aimed at stopping the Gospel in its tracks.

Who Likes Correction?

Correction. Somehow we feel once we’ve grown up we don’t need correction, or we certainly don’t think so. What does correction look like now that we are adults and you know…mature?

Christian Atheism

Sometimes I come across a topic that grabs me…this Blog post by Craig Groeschel did that and more! It’s a topic I’m passionate about, helping believers live out their Christianity in their lives not just attend a church. So I wanted to share it with you today. Please read and study this Blog and look up the scriptures for yourself, it’s a great reminder for us all.

Lessons In The Delays

Ok…so as I sit at the airport having missed not only my flight but also not being able to get another one today at all, I’m reminded of something we tend to forget. We forget because we are frustrated, angry or pick any number of other emotions you feel when you get delayed.

Shaken And Stirred

I taught on this subject a couple of years ago in a Women’s Conference, using the same example of wind and trees that Lisa Bevere shares in this article. I came across this short Blog of hers and just felt I needed to share it with my audience. It is one of the most powerful principles we can understand as believers. 😊
