Chain me to my past-I don’t think so.
Choose to harness your hopes, dreams, aspirations, goals, and life to His promises!
Choose to reject toxic thoughts of fear or timidity.
Dismiss any notion of mediocrity or lack.
Vehemently deny the right for darkness to set up camp anywhere near your province.
Refuse to be defined by past mistakes, limited by cynics, or conform to the “status quo.”
Everybody in your circle-might not be in your corner.
My friends-your situation is NOT your final destination.
His purpose is clear-His voice prevails as truth.
You are not dead-so God is not done!!!
You get to write this next chapter of your life-MAKE IT EPIC!
If you run after your destiny you are certain to escape your history.
We are all a little broken-but last time I checked broken crayons still make beautiful pictures.
Just because you had some bad chapters that doesn’t mean your story cannot end well.
Certain people put a pause on you purpose-you can’t afford to catch what they have.
The past had its time.
Shut up!! It doesn’t take much to get my attitude fired up and that did it. This is not the time to give up, settle or quit! Our past is just that…past. Pick up those pieces and see how each one came together to help make you who you are today!
The word “choose” means to select after consideration, to decide, to pick, to determine. It’s so important to CHOOSE to let go and keep going. To make the most of what we are given. We can choose to dwell in the past and what happened. If we do that the past is where we will remain. The past wants to hold us with chains of regret.
But if we CHOOSE to let it go and embrace today and all that God has in it we can be all He has designed us to be. I’ve been practicing this almost daily. When I’m alone with my thoughts and they start to go in a bad direction, I SAY out loud, “God I CHOOSE joy today. I have to choose that everyday. If I don’t I will most certainly fall into the enemies trap and go down that negative spiral.
No it isn’t easy to choose…when all of your feelings scream the opposite. Nothing worth doing is easy. But do it! CHOOSE to be the architect of your future. Refuse the paste and embrace today. I know that I know God has a beautiful future for you full of his goodness and his blessing.
God you are good and your plans are good. Even when it feels bad and we want to give up you are good. Help us by the strength of your spirit to overcome the relentless onslaught of the enemy against our mind and heart. Help us to choose to believe your word. Help us to lean and rely on you for the strength we need every moment. Give us eyes to see the amazing, bright future and destiny you have awaiting us. We trust you no matter what it looks like or feels like. In Jesus name….
